刘秀的传说——伊滨区

西汉末年，王莽篡位称帝。天下大乱，民不聊生。汉高祖刘邦九世后裔刘秀也乘机起兵。据史书记载，双方的洛阳之战，涉及汉魏洛阳故城、万安山和伊河河谷一带。由此，伊滨经开区一带，关于王莽攆刘秀的传说，也并非全部是子虚乌有。主要有：1.成语“蛛丝马迹”的渊源。护驾窑村，位于伊滨经开区李村镇西南，是一个丘陵小村。相传，当年王莽摔刘秀时，眼看就要追上了。见一孔窑洞坐南朝北，残破不堪，逃命要紧，一头钻了进去。谁知，刚钻进去，蜘蛛就在窑洞口吐丝结网。追兵搜索到窑洞时，看到蜘蛛网结得严严实实，没有丝毫人动的痕迹。“蛛丝”网窑，“马迹”犹在，追兵只好往前追去。这就是成语“蛛丝马迹”的渊源。救了刘秀一命，保护了圣驾，该村就叫“护驾窑”了。其他类似：刘秀路过一个破窑，住宿过，这个破窑所在的村庄就叫“宿驾窑”村；刘秀被王莽追得丢盔卸甲，无处可躲。一老农正见他狼狈，让刘秀躲进地沟里，用土和树枝覆盖住。躲过追杀后，刘秀爬起来，衣着不整，农夫就给刘秀提了提衣服。后来，这个农夫居住的村庄就叫“提庄”村；以及申明村、刘井村、惊马沟村、干村的由来、脚印石的传说、试剑石的传说等均与刘秀有关。

刘秀的传说属神话传说与历史传说相结合，传说中的动物、人物均有灵性，又属风物传说，依附于山川河流及村庄等。反映了新莽末年老百姓生活艰难困苦的现实和期盼明君，追求美好生活的愿望，彰显了除恶扬善的民族精神。
