    洛阳关林是国家重点文物保护单位、国家AAAA级旅游景区，也是我国唯一的冢、庙、林三祀合一的古代经典建筑群。1780余年来，关林因厚葬关羽首级而名闻天下形成了浓厚的关公文化氛围。明万历二十年（1592年），在汉代关庙的原址上，扩建成占地200余亩、四进院落、150余间殿宇廊庑的规模。

    关公文化是我国传统文化的重要一脉，以儒家文化为内核，以传统信仰形式为载体，是对历史人物道德精神的一种景仰的文化形态，不是子虚乌有的迷信。不可否认，关羽的神化首先发端于人们对其德行的敬慕，逐渐形成了道德意义上的心理认同。这种民族的认同心理是在社会公德意识主导下发育的，在广泛的道德实践中发展的。关羽是理想与现实结合的精神寄托，随着景仰人群的扩大及与道德实践的交互作用，最终形成了道德与神祗的合璧。

    一年一度的中国洛阳关林国际朝圣大典是在关羽的秋祭之期举行的特色文化旅游景观，以极富华夏民族传统美德的关公文化，搭建座沟通海内外同胞亲情，加强华人华裔联谊，开展文化与经贸交流、合作的桥梁；立足于国际性、群众性，展示历史文化内涵和地方特色；围绕旅游强市战略的实施，把朝圣大典和河洛文化旅游节相结合，招商与引资相结合，实现观光旅游和文化旅游互补，国内旅游和国际旅游接轨，名人效应与经济交流融合，促进洛阳经济和旅游等相关产业的发展。

Guan Yu becomes the piritual and real world incarnation for people the put their faith in. And with the great increase of believers and the interaction with moral practice, Guan Gon belief, a combination of morality and deity is finally formed. The annual Guanlin Intemational Pilgrimage Ceremony in Luoyang City becomes a characteristic cultural tourism landscape. The Guan Gong belief, which is rich in the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, forms a close tie coneecting compatriots at home and abroad and builds a bridge for cultural and economic exchanges and cooperation. Through the combination of the pilgrimage ceremony with the Heluo cultural tourism festival to attract investment, the integration of sightseeing tourism and cultural tourism, domestic tourism and international tourism. and the reinforcement of celebrity effect and economic exchange, development of Luoyang economy and tourism and other related industries are further promoted.
