牡丹花灯制作技艺

牡丹花灯制作技艺复杂精巧。传统的制作常用竹子破成边条，用蒸汽加热晾干，抛光裁取所需长度，用绳子托成花灯骨架，用白色宣纸裱糊底层，用红色宣纸剪出人物、花鸟、仕女等，将稀释的浆糊均匀的平刷在花型上裱好，也可彩绘、书写。现代花灯制作技艺经过创新，更具有现代气息，用铁丝代替了竹子，一条铁丝可以任意造型，旋转、弯曲成圆，之后裱糊，由于丝绸色彩艳丽，防雨坚固，逐渐取代了宣纸，同时融入结构力学、电学、美学、材料学等专业学科。牡丹花灯手工制作作品集南北花灯之长，造型上简约大方，色彩明快。品位上大俗大雅形成了洛阳牡丹花灯声、光、动的特点。

Lantern, a traditional Chinese folk product, originated in China mainly for lighting, made from paper or silk as the skin and bamboo or wooden strips as the skeleton and candle in the middle. Peony lantern is the Chinese traditional product for daily life use and artistic decoration. It serves to entertain the gods and improve the festivity. In traditional making, bamboo is often broken into strips, then polished and cut to the required length after being heated and dried by steam. Then the rope is tied to the lantern skeleton, with white paper pasting the bottom while red Xuan paper cut out to produce figures, flowers, birds, ladies and so on. We will dilute the paste evenly flat brush over the pattern mounted for painting and writing. It is of more modern flavor after receiving more innovations including the use of iron wire instead of bamboo, colorful and rainproof silk instead of Xuan paper. At the same time, it integrates workmanship in terms of structural mechanics, electricity, aesthetics, materials science and others. Handmade peony lanterns combine the advantages of all lantern making in China. They are simple in shape and have vibrant colors, movable in exterior and refined in essence, which can highlight the traditional local culture of Luoyang.
