平乐郭氏祖传方药是平乐正骨的一个重要组成部分。平乐郭氏正骨起源于清代乾隆嘉庆年间，创始人是郭氏第十七代祖郭祥泰。他首创平乐正骨“三大绝技”：中药、手法、小夹板。中药治本，手法复位，小夹板固定。因为其发端于老洛阳县的平乐村（现在的孟津县平乐村），故世称平乐正骨或平乐郭氏正骨。郭祥泰之后，经郭树信、郭贯田、郭九三、郭景仰、郭宗正、郭志忠等两百多年的传承，至郭芫沅已是八代相传。

平乐郭氏祖传方药，总计不下百种，平乐郭氏活血接骨止痛膏仅是其中的一个。该药配伍严谨合理，采用中医中药疗法，安全无痛苦，无毒副作用，用来治疗创伤骨折，软组织损伤，劳损性颈肩腰腿痛。

Pingle Guo' s ancestral prescription is an important part of Pingle' s Zheng Gu. Pingle Guo's Zheng Gu originated in the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing(1736 AD- 1820 AD)in the Qing Dynasty(1644 AD-1912 AD)and was founded by Guo Xiangtai, the 17th generation of Guo' s ancestors. He pioneered Pingle s"three unique skills" in bone setting: traditional Chinese medicine, manipulations and small splints. At that time, traditional Chinese medicine had a high reputation for curing the disease, manipulative reduction and small splint fixation. Because it originated from Pingle village in old Luoyang County (now Pingle Village in Mengjin County),it is known as Pingle Zheng Gu or Pingle Guoshi Zheng Gu in China. There are no fewer than 100 kinds of Pingle Guo' s ancestral prescriptions. The Pingle Guo' s promoting blood circulation and bone grafting analgesic ointment declared today is only one of them. The medicine is rigorous and reasonable in compatibility, adopts traditional Chinese medicine therapy, has been clinically used for more than 200 years, has definite curative effect, rapid effect, safety, no pain and no toxic or side ts. It is a panacea for treating traumatic fracture, soft tissue injury and strain neck, shoulder, lumbago and leg pain since Qing Dynasty (1644 AD-1912 AD).
