洛阳水席(五碗四)

“五碗四”,由五碗热菜、四个凉菜组成,是由洛阳水席菜自由组合,加在一起,共九个品种。其荤素搭配,稀稠均匀,冷热相济,营养均衡,可满足旧时五至八人食用。当然,也可以随着客人的多少或简或繁,丰俭由人,民间也因此有“六碗四”、“八碗四”等之说。“五碗四”是河洛地域极具传统特色的水席组合,是老洛阳人民逢年过节居家招待客人的一种惯用饮食习俗,是洛阳水席在家庭筵席的一种表现形式。

Wuwansi, the set dishes consisting of five bowls of steamed dishes and four cold dishes, are popular in the downtown and suburbs of Luoyang. It is a very traditional flavor set of heat and cold, balanced nutrition in Heluo region. The reason why it is commonly known as Wuwansi, is actually related to the number of "Nine", which often means the most and countless and longevity. Wuwansi, is the earliest dishes of the water banquet in old Luoyang Wuwansi, to entertain guests at home during the new year, was the common food of the official families in the old city of Luoyang. It originated in the Sui and Tang Dynasties and walked into common people's house during the Culture Revolution. What impressed us most of the old water banquet is to serve cold dishes first, followed by steamed dishes.
