李楼“李八先生妇科”始创于清朝乾隆年间，至今已传九代，有二百多年的历史，因李家人世代居住位于洛阳市郊区（现改为洛龙区）李楼村（俗称李家楼），独创中医妇科，世世代代祖传至今，并因创始人在家中排行第八，且医术高超，医德高尚，父老乡亲都亲切地称呼其李八，而忘却姓名，故而得名“李八先生妇科”.

Li Ba Gynecology, with a history of more than 200 years, can be traced back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912)and has reached the 9th generation inheritor till now. It was named after the Lilou village, in the suburb of Luoyang(now administered by Luolong district), and the founder Li Ba, who ranked 8th(ba)among his siblings. Mr. Li was famous in China for pioneering TCM gynecology and was preferred by his patients and people around because of his professional skills and virtue. Li' s family has a long-standing reputation in and outside Henan province. They are deeply respected by the local people. As early as the Qing Dynasty, Li's family, honored as "Renowned Family of Doctors", became well-known in Henan and other provinces. Li Ba Gynecology has a long history, enjoying a unique position in China's health cause. It relieves the sufferings of the patients and receives praises from the wide public.
